Hello!
I care about helping people improve their lives. For 16 years, I have focused on doing that by working around the world—in Boston, Accra, Cape Town and London—crafting and implementing marketing and communications strategies to connect people with educational products and financial services.
This work includes understanding the behaviors and needs of a wide range of people—whether small businesses in emerging markets, educators across the United States, CEOs of banks or donors to nonprofits. One of my main focuses is directing the creation of websites, digital campaigns and data visualization tools to engage these users and help businesses succeed.
SO WHY UX?
I want to craft those digital experiences. I've just completed General Assembly's UX Design Immersive course to learn the tools to do that. Empathy and curiosity for how people use digital tools to solve a range of problems in different contexts motivates me—whether it's a small businessman sending money from his phone in Ghana to fellow travelers booking flights to making financial budgeting simpler to educators wanting to teach something interactively. And I want to help people feel that the hours of time they spend now in digital spaces is time well spent.
My blend of business strategy, marketing and design management experience allows me to both see the big picture for a project and focus on getting the UX details right.

beyond digital, what inspires my design thinking?
I am inspired by how elements outside UX can influence the design thinking process and the crafting of engaging human-centered experiences. These include natural beauty which teaches me about simplicity and balance in visual design, challenging sports like rock climbing that make me tenacious and focused on solving a problem, and performing in the theatre that rewards collaboration and risk taking to engage audiences.
